Owned and operated by the same family since 1978, Alasya Turkish Restaurant has strived to reflect the rich and varied number of Turkish dishes in its menu. Over the years we have continued to expand our range of dishes to mirror the broad variety of foods found in the Traditional Turkish Kitchen. What has not changed, however, is the insistence that all our foods be prepared the traditional way and using only the freshest of ingredients.

All our dips are made from the freshest ingredients – peeled, sliced and blended by hand in our kitchen.

LABNE
Home made strained yoghurt, served with garlic & olive oil.

CACIK
Home made yoghurt, cucumber, garlic, dill and mint.

HUMUS
Chickpeas, tahin, lemon, olive oil, garlic and herbs.

AJWAR
Very spicy vegetable dip. Hot

BABAGANUSH
Wood oven roasted eggplant, tahin, lemon, olive oil, garlic and yoghurt.

TARAMA
Caviar, lemon, onion, potato and olive oil.

TAHIN
Sesame seed oil, lemon, and garlic

Meze

TAVA
Minced lamb, combined with potato and spices. Rolled into balls and pan fried. Served hot.

KADIN BUDU
Minced lamb, rice and herbs, dipped into egg and pan fried. Served hot.

HALLUMI GRILLED
Cyprus style cheese grilled or fried served in toasted pide bread.

PILAKI
Borlotti beans and vegetables. Prepared Turkish style.

PEYNIR
Australian fetta garnished with olive oil and mint.

PATLICAN KIZARTMA
Thinly sliced eggplant fried and served with lemon.

FELAFEL
Chickpeas and broad beans mixed with garlic and onion. Fried and served with tahin and tabbouli.

ICLI KOFTE
Wheat balls filled with minced lamb, currents, pinenuts and herbs. Fried in olive oil and served hot

PATATES KIZARTMA
Fried Potatoes.

BAKED POTATO
Potato baked in our wood-fired brick oven, served with mozzarella & tasty cheese

BAMYA
Okra, onion and tomato. Prepared Turkish style.

PILAV
Rice cooked with carrots and herbs.

Dolma

Dolma is a generic term for stuffed vegetables. We have two categories, those filled with a vegetarian mix, and those with a mince mix.

DOLMA
Vine leaves filled with mince steak, rice, tomato and herbs.

VINELEAF DOLMA
Vine leaves filled with rice, tomato and herbs. Served with Alasya Special sauce.

ALASYA SPECIAL DOLMA
Fresh capsicum filled with sultanas, rice and herbs topped with fresh tomato.
Served with Alasya Special sauce

PATLICAN DOLMA
Eggplant stuffed with meat, onion, tomato and rice. Served with Alasya Special sauce.

MUSHROOM
Fresh mushrooms, rice & wheat, alasya’s special herbs and topped with cheese

BIBER DOLMA
Capsicum stuffed with meat, onion, tomato and rice. Served with Alasya Special sauce.

CABBAGE DOLMA
Cabbage leaves filled with rice, tomato and herbs. Served with Alasya Special sauce.

Borek & Gozleme

Borek is a special occasion food which requires great skill & patience. Once rolled, the dough is hand stretched into delicate, thin sheets. The sheets are then filled and carefully folded. We bake our borek under low heat in our wood-fired brick ovens. Gözleme is traditional savoury street food. At Alasya we hand-roll the pastry, fill it, seal it and cook it over a griddle.

Our Pide and Pizza’s are made on a light sugar & fat free dough. Baked on stone-floor, wood fired ovens.

Kebab & Grill

“Kebab” is another category of food, which like the borek, is typically Turkish dating back to the time when the nomadic Turks learned to grill and roast their meats over their camp fires All Kebabs can be served with oven baked mushroom, capsicum, eggplant, zucchini, wedges or chips.

MIX GRILL
Mixed grill including doner kebab, sis kebab, sis kofte, lamb chops and chicken doner.

SIS KEBAB
Tender lamb fillet, diced and marinated with herbs and spices and charcoal grilled.

DONER KEBAB
Lamb and Beef mixed with herbs and spices. Cooked on a rotating skewer.

SIS KOFTE
Lamb and beef mince marinated, rolled and shaped into patties. Served with red capsicum sauce.

YOGURTLU DONER
Doner kebab, served on a bed of diced bread and topped with Alasya’s home-made garlic.

Marinated chicken thigh fillets grilled, served with cous-cous and green beans

CHICKEN BREAST
Chicken breast, marinated in Alasya’s selection of herbs and spices.
Served with eggplant, rice and Alasya’s mushroom sauce.

CHICKEN DRUMSTICK
Chicken pieces deliciously marinated and grilled. Served with fresh green beans,
rice and Alasya’s mushroom sauce with oven baked vegetables.

CHICKEN KOFTE
Spicy Chicken rissoles cooked on the grill and served with cous-cous, oven baked
mushroom, capsicum and eggplant or chips.
